Tuscan Animal Pattern Pitcher with Elephant
Montelupo Fiorentino is a municipality of Florence in the region of Tuscany. From the end of the 13th century through the Renaissance, the town was one of Europe’s most important ceramic production centers. This ceramic pitcher was handcrafted and traditionally painted by artists in this area.
The artisans who make the Animal Pattern are among the first groups that Bonechi Imports worked with in the 1980s. At that time, the artisans made the pattern with six different animals. With suggestions from Bonechi, they now make over 70 animals.
The Animal Pattern pitcher is 6” in height. It can hold 36 oz. Measurements are approximate.
