Ginostra Sicily 10” Dinner Plate

The artisans Ceramiche di Sicilia, located just outside Palermo, Sicily, Italy, handmade this platter. They also named this pattern after the small fishing village on the island of Stromboli, and we love that connection so we kept the name. This plate is so perfectly Southern Italian, much like those from the towns on the Amalfi Coast, like Positano. We would called this color blue “azzure blue,” which is the color of Gli Azzurri, the national soccer team of Italy. It is the blue of the Mediterranean. This plate is perfectly Sicilian, with its playful nod to the culture of the Sea and its islands.
