Sicilian Santo Stefano 4X4” Wall Tile with Trinacria
Trinacria refers to the shape of the island of Sicily. The island was known by the Romans as Trinacrium, meaning “star with three points”. The Trinacria symbol is traditionally portrayed with the head of Medusa surrounded by three bent running legs. This tile was handmade and hand-painted by La Giara in Santo Stefano di Camastra, Sicily, Italy. It can be installed, such as in a backsplash or as a border on a countertop, or it can hang from its hook as wall decor.
At a little less than an inch thick, it’s slightly thicker than many of our other 4X4″ tiles.
