Sicilian Fuoco 8.5″ Medium Rooster Pitcher
A legend about the Medici family from the 15th century says crowing roosters alerted Giuliano de Medici to hired assassins approaching. Because of this, rooster pitchers like this one are considered providers of good fortune. This rooster or chicken pitcher was handcrafted and hand-painted in Santo Stefano di Camastra, Sicily.
