Sicilian Enna 8.5″ Medium Rooster Pitcher
Because of a legend of the Medici family in the 15th century in which crowing roosters alerted Giuliano de Medici to hired assassins approaching, rooster pitchers such as this one are considered to be providers of good luck and fortune. This rooster, or chicken, pitcher was handcrafted and hand-painted in Santo Stefano di Camastra, Sicily.
It is 8.5″ in height and can hold 32 oz. Measurements are approximate.
