Ricco Deruta 10″ Scalloped Scodella
This ceramic pasta bowl was handcrafted and painted by the artisans Sberna in Deruta, Italy. Like all of our scodella bowls, this is a traditional dish for pasta or soup. Its shape is that of a shallow bowl or a deep plate.
Dating back to the 16th century, the Ricco design is heavily influenced by the frescoes of Renaissance artist Pietro Perugino. He was the mentor of Raphael. Their work inspired patterns of Deruta ceramics dating back to the 16th century.
