Deruta Ricco Blue 10″ Scalloped Scodella
Like all our Deruta dinnerware, this scodelle is dishwasher safe. Each ceramic pasta bowl was handcrafted and classically painted by the artisans in traditional Renaissance colors. The shape of the piece is like a plate with high edges, forming a shallow bowl for individual servings of soup or pasta.
The Ricco design is heavily influenced by the frescoes of Renaissance artist Pietro Perugino. He was the mentor of Raphael. Their work inspired the patterns of Deruta ceramics dating back to the 16th century. This scodella was hand painted by Sberna in Deruta, Italy.
