Deruta Raffaellesco 8.5″ Medium Rooster Pitcher

This ceramic rooster, or chicken, pitcher was individually handcrafted and painted by the artists in Deruta, Italy, where the Raffaellesco pattern first appeared in the late 16th century. This rooster pitcher is dishwasher safe and safe to use for beverages. It also makes a lovely vase! It brings good fortune to the home because of a 15th century legend in which crowing roosters alerted Giuliano de Medici to hired assassins approaching.
