Deruta Galletto Blue 8.5″ Candlestick
The Galletto pattern is a modified version of ceramics that came out of the Umbrian town of Orvieto in the 13th century. In the 19th century, centuries after Deruta had become the center of Umbrian ceramics, a rooster was added to the pattern and the leaves were also modernized. As well as being a lovely addition to the pattern, the rooster is said to bring good fortune to the home. This ceramic candlestick was handcrafted and painted by the artists in the traditional fashion. While originally constructed as a candlestick, this piece has been drilled for a wire so that you may use it as a lamp base if you wish.
The Galletto Blue Candlestick is approximately 8.5″ in height.
